Supplier Diversity Program (SDP)

The Supplier Diversity Program was established in September, 2010 via Executive Order 524 to promote equality in state contracting by ensuring full participation of minority and women owned business enterprises in all areas of state contracting including goods and services. The SDP provides opportunities in state contracting for minority and women owned business enterprises to partner with prime vendors in completing their SDP Plan contracting obligations. Certification is the process by which the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as State Office for Minority and Women Business Assistance (SOMWBA) reviews and investigates applicants who seek to participate in affirmative business opportunities to determine that they meet the requirements of state statutes and regulations.
